About the event
Make a consistent committment to fitness this new year with our 5k/day challenge! Walk, hike, jog, or run at least 3.1 miles/day and if you successfully complete the challenge, you earn a FREE finisher shirt and $31 in store credit! Encourage your colleagues, family members, church friends, whoever to join in for some friendly competition with a fitness focus! Use #eatsleeprunabout2024 on socials so we can follow along your journey! Here's how to get going:
- Register for event on this site
- Find our EatSleepRunAbout Strava club to link your account so that we can see you're getting your miles in!
- Record your daily activities on Strava, and share photos/reflections of your journey on social media using #eatsleeprunabout2024 so we can follow along!
- Log at least 3.1 miles a day every day in January (or average 96 miles for the month) for your free participant shirt and earning your registration money back in store credit! Getting paid to get fit, win-win!
FAQ's:
- Can you average a monthly mileage (96 miles) vs. logging daily miles? YES, we will look at total mileage for the month not necessarily daily miles.
- Can I complete the challenge as a team? NO, this is an individual challenge.
- Do I have to have a Strava account to complete the challenge? YES, it is free to create a Strava account and we will need a way to easily access group mileage reports to verify you have completed the challenge.
- Do I have to live in the Roanoke area to claim my challenge prizes? NO, this challenge can be done from anywhere, and if you successfully complete the challenge, you can use your $31 in store credit toward any product in store. You will just need to pay for items (including your shirt) to be shipped to you.
- Can I bike or swim or some other type of aerobic activity? NO, this is a walking/running challenge only.
