SPEED SERIES COACHES

Head Coach: Tim Scott

My name is Tim Scott, and I am super excited to be a part of the Summer Speed Series here at Runabout Sports Roanoke. I started off as a middle-distance runner in college, before falling in love with trails and Ultrarunning. One of my favorite races is an event that I started as a competitor that I now direct: The Virginia 24 Hour Run for Cancer in Hampton, Virginia. During the Summer months, I will navigate back to track running and races. It's always exciting to step on the track for a hard workout, even after doing so for 25 years and counting!

I was blessed to have very successful track seasons the last few years, including a Commonwealth Games win and event record in the 800 Meter Run, as well as a National Championship win in the State Games of America for 1500 Meters. During the Fall, Winter, and Spring, I can be found trekking through some of my favorite mountains in Lynchburg, where I live with my wife, Cassie, and daughter, Amelia.
